especially for us ladies..

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said:

"When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

so, to all my dear friends, please give your mothers a hug and kiss saying how much you love her today!!

I LOVE YOU MOMMY!! MUAX!!

all about LOVE

To My Friends Who Are...........SINGLE
Love is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it will come to you when you least expect it. Love can make you happy but often it hurts, but love's only special when you give it to someone who is really worth it. So take your time and choose the best.

To My Friends Who Are............NOT SO SINGLE
Love isn't about becoming somebody else's 'perfect person.' It's about finding someone who helps you become the best person you can be.

To My Friends Who Are............PLAYBOY/GIRL TYPE
Never say 'I love you' if you don't care. Never talk about feelings if they aren't there. Never touch a life if you mean to break a heart. Never look in the eye when all you do is lie. The cruelest thing a guy can do to a girl is to let her fall in love when he doesn't intend to catch her fall and it works both ways...

To My Friends Who Are............MARRIED
Love is not about 'it's your fault', but 'I'm sorry.' Not 'where are you', but 'I'm right here.' Not 'how could you', but 'I understand.' Not 'I wish you were', but 'I'm thankful you are.'

To My Friends Who Are............ENGAGED
The true measure of compatibility is not the years spent together but how good you are for each other.

To My Friends Who Are............HEARTBROKEN
Heartbreaks last as long as you want and cut as deep as you allow them to go. The challenge is not how to survive heartbreaks but to learn from them.

To My Friends Who Are............NAIVE
How to be in love: Fall but don't stumble, be consistent but not too persistent, share and never be unfair, understand and try not to demand, and get hurt but never keep the pain.

To My Friends Who Are............POSSESSIVE
It breaks your heart to see the one you love happy with someone else but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.

To My Friends Who Are............AFRAID TO CONFESS
Love hurts when you break up with someone. It hurts even more when someone breaks up with you. But love hurts the most when the person you love has no idea how you feel.

To My Friends Who Are............STILL HOLDING ON
A sad thing about life is when you meet someone and fall in love, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and that you have wasted years on someone who wasn't worth it. If he isn't worth it now he's not going to be worth it a year or 10 years from now. Let go.....

TO ALL MY FRIENDS.......
My wish for you is a man/women whose love is honest, strong, mature, never-changing, uplifting, protective, encouraging, rewarding and unselfish.

Lastly, trust in God and He will guide your path..

p/s i LOVE you dad, mum, bros, family, Jen, friends, and even enemies..

out of no where..

today went to summit for my usual yoga lessons.. as i was real early i decided to go to payless books to find something to fill my time.. then i picked this book which was rather interesting.. when i went to pay, the lady behind the counter told me that i need to find 4 more books as the book is 5 for RM 12.. wah wah wah.. damn untung.. :D

then went to grab a bite while reading my book near a fountain.. while i was devouring my book, this voice beside me suddenly went "excuse me.." so i damn kepo look up i also dunno why.. sigh..

there was this lady next to me.. and she was talking to me.. *sweat* she asked me about this guardian sale that was going on a while ago.. and so i told her that now no more.. but got clothes sale instead.. so i suggested why don't she go check it out.. hoping to get back to my book.. but NO!! she had to ask whether i was still studying or working.. so i said i studying lar.. mana tahu so sibuk ask what i study and where wor.. so i said i studying medicine.. at university malaya.. (one small white lie.. mana tahu she stalker or something..)

then she told me that she got offer from UM for english course.. blah blah blah.. wah.. salute her man.. talk to me like her old friend only.. scary.. then she told me that she was christian.. and asked if i was too.. and i said yeah (i'm 100% Catholic and i'm proud of it.. so no lie there).. then she ask which church.. i said SFX which is technically a lie because i go to CKK..

then my phone rang.. thanks dad!! life saver.. then i politely and hurriedly said that i've got to go.. and cabut!! and on the way to see my dad i was thinking about what i've told her.. seems like quite a good lie.. haha.. cos UM and SFX are very close to each other.. lol..

PHEW!! next time people say excuse me i'll just made don't know lar.. lucky this time was quite a nice lady.. only a tad too friendly..

not that i'm being arrogant or anything.. but nowadays there are alot of crazy lunatics around.. better be more careful.. so friends, beware.. be alert at all times.. especially girls!!

masterpieces

as we all know, everybody has their own hobbies and passions..

well, mine is messing around with photoshop though i'm not very good at it..

my latest work.. (eley.. watch out.. your competitor is here hehe..)

and Jen's is writing sweet messages and poems.. :D

this one he got from somewhere..
i soared above the songbirds
and never heard them sing
i lived my life in winter
and then u brought the spring

and the one he wrote in anticipation of Genting trip :P
So, I will stand here forever,
If forever's what it takes,
because you are my forever,
and forever always waits.

and..
If roses are black
and violets are brown,
my love for you would never be found.
BUT roses are red
and violets are blue, all i wanna say is i love you..

ed's note: love you too dear..

God is watching over us..

God our Refiner

Malachi 3:3 says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver."

She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?" He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy-when I see my image in it"

If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you..

sense of hopelesness..

i HATE it!!

ok ok.. i better justify my previous statements..

today went to pick my brothers up from their camp in Cheras.. then attended mass there.. during the Celebration of the Eucharist, a lady fainted.. and i just stood where i am not knowing what to do, ignoring the whole thing..

i guess not being able to help made me feel very helpless.. so from now on, i'll make sure to study HARDER so that history won't repeat itself.. guess this is God's way of telling me to concentrate more on my studies..

so, jia you!!

movie marathon

went to pyramid with Jen today (first official date *blush*).. initially wanted to go skating but i woke up and my legs were aching from yesterdays yoga.. darn it.. and considering the fact that he had training later at night so didn't want to tire him out :P

anyways, after brunch we went get tickets for both click and garfield.. garfield was nothing much to shout about.. was for the inner child in each one of us.. hehe..

but click was a whole different story.. it was funny, witty, and touching.. better not tell you guys the gists of it as it'll spoil the fun.. so go watch it ya'll.. the morale of the story is to appreciate all the good things that you have in life and to appreciate those around you..

then went to have waffles for tea.. guess that the best things are meant to be shared eh?? :P

when we got to his car i noticed that the window cleaners didn't clean the windows today.. :( did you know that pyramid actually offers window cleaning services for free?? then they'll stick this card under the wiper saying thank you for patronizing yada yada.. and even the time your window was cleaned.. so when your car is dirty you know where to head for a free clean.. hehe..

after sending me home Jen decided to go and have a chat with my mum.. so sweet :P hehe.. love you for it dear.. muax!! but now he knows more "dark secrets" about me.. crap..

-----for a more detailed version of the story click here-----

just wanna say..

happy birthday wei phoi!!

my dearest pet brother.. hehe.. this guy very naughty wan.. always bully me.. makes me regret ajaking him go yam cha.. haha..

but then again, thanks for all those times you were there for me.. for the times you kept me from falling asleep during tuition (or was it the other way around :P).. and for the pranks you pulled on me (i still remember.. the time you tricked me into believing that somebody whacked you up when all the while your hand was stained by some chemical.. cis..) and most of all for you companionship :D

so enjoy your last year of being a teen!!

love,
your sis..

to all my loved ones..

this post is dedicated to all those who are dear to me.. family, and friends.. and of course my dear.. :D

People have said time and again that it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. But what they will probably never understand is how I'll always be a winner for having loved you.

love you all.. muax!!

happy birthday daddy!!

we love you!! muax muax..

hmm.. initially wanted to get his favourite chocolate banana cake from secret recipe but sadly the cake melts easily so we decided to get brownies walnut.. guess its his new favourite now.. hehe.. easily satisfied daddy.. :D

my daddy.. just like kaya toast bread (hard and stern on the outside but sweetest and softest on the inside)

God loves you..

and never ever forget that..

some times when things doesn't go your way, you'll say to yourself.. where's God?? He says He loves me but He is not here for me when i need Him the most.. well, you know what?? He is there..

and sometimes when you put your whole heart into a prayer wishing and hoping that He grants your heart deepest desires then WHAM He doesn't grant you that one wish.. you'll be devastated and again question where is God?? He is there.. its just that He knows better whats good for you and whats not..

you know, there was once i hoped that life would come with a step by step manual.. then things would be so much easier and everything would be perfect.. and then a good friend of mine said that life actually does come with a manual.. the BIBLE.. thanks alot.. then of course deer had to say that if life came with a manual, the first thing for me to do is to give him a hug.. (sigh.. great help huh??)

so.. here's your reward for "listening" to my thoughts.. a STORY!! woohoo..

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He wasgiven a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in thewoods, but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged,he headed back for dinner.

As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved. In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sallyjust smiled and said," Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help." She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's, he finally couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessedthat he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done ... and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.) whatever it is.

You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy thatwe are saved.

Go ahead and make the difference in someone's life today.

Share this with a friend and always remember:

God is at the window

doctors vs. mechanics

A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, who was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car. The mechanic shouted across the garage,"Hello Doctor! Please come over here for a minute." The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, "So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind 'em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So how come you get the big money, when you and me is doing basically the same work? " The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic ..... What did Doctor say ??? Guess ......

Doctor said : "Try to do it when the engine is running".

by dear-old-Kajen..

well, here goes (me first attempt at tags)

10 years ago i was:
hmm.. in std 3 in SRK Sri Subang Jaya.. still naive (and dumb i may add).. playing masak masak every free period with my friends.. using empty groundnut skins as bowles.. toothpicks as chopsticks.. making paper boats when it rains and have paperboat race in the drain (my school used to flood alot).. creating wierd concoctions (cheif chef: fiona low) where we will mix toothpaste, listerine and all kinds of stuff and then try to convince people to eat it (dun think anybody did though.. phew).. also the year when PTS was introduced.. as it was my first MAJOR exam, i was really panicked and i distinctly remembering running to the toilet to answer nature's call just before the exam started.. hehe.. oh ya.. it was around the time XFCJ was formed (whats that u say?? <--- adapted from Naboob's winning cheer!!) well, its a club formed by me and my closest buddies (Xandra, Fiona, Crystal and Ju Enn) it was only much later when we had to rename the club (XFCJ'SS) to include 2 new members (Sharon and Sing Ee)

OMG!! not to mention the numerous times Ms. angelene got pissed off at our class (its for our own good i know..) and the times we would rush off to pyramid during breaks and then rush back just in time for the next lecture.. i also remember the IMU interview and how nervous i was.. ( oh ya, my interviewer is Prof Mak and Dr. P Kumar) and when the results came i was in Penang so my pet bro had to go to my house and read the result to me.. hehe thanks alot dear.. love you for it..

yesterday i was:
i'm on holiday till september!! woohoo.. well, yesterday i went to do my elective (YOGA) at fitness first.. and i can honestly say that never in my 19 years of life excercise more put together than yesterday alone.. in yoga, Dr. Dhilip made us do excercise to strenghten our leg muscles.. and then me and irene went body combat straight after my yoga class.. so tiring.. someone be kind enough to give me a massage?? :P

i miss you!!

i really miss all my childhood friends.. (sorry to disappoint anybody :P)

was talking to my best friend.. Sharon.. miss you so much girl.. faster come back from Canada lar!! well, we had a nice time chatting about the good old days..

miss all those good times we had together.. all those pranks we played on others.. i know its mean but whats life without some fun?? i still remember the time when we had a new Seni teacher.. we hated her so much cos her perfume was sooooo strong.. even when she walks pass you, you can get choked on her perfume.. so one day, this friend of mine brought a plastic frog ( i have to admit it was really realistic looking) and i put it on the teachers chair.. when she saw it, she screamed.. OMG.. that look was priceless.. haha.. and the other time when we played a prank on a classmate.. the poor guy hated apple juice smell.. and we just had to put bottles of empty juice bottle into his bag.. haha..

miss those crazy lame games we used to play.. we used to make this film strip (strips of paper stuffed into used film rolls..) then we'd take turns drawing out characters which looks like hands.. (don't ask why).. anyway, all of us were too lazy to bring it back home.. so we'd stuff it in our teachers potted plant everyday at the end of school.. and one day (drum rolls), the teacher decided that it was time to change her plant.. imagine the heartbreak.. haha..

miss playing in the rain.. in our old school it always floods when it rains.. so we'd make paper boats and see who's will go the furthest before capsizing.. and to keep our shoes dry, we'll take them off and run around.. i know i know its dangerous and dirty.. but when you're young, you tend to do stupid things..

miss sliding down the driveway with my brothers in our swimsuits.. we'd put soap on the tiled floor and rub it with our lil bodies just to make sure it was even.. then we would slide down and usually crash into the gate below..

miss the days when exams are so much easier than now.. last time it was like study the night before exams and the results are so much better than now.. in IMU even camping in the library isn't enough to make the deans list (for me lar..)

miss those days when we're so naive.. the days when talking to guys are like terrible sins.. hehe.. when girls hung out with girls only and vice versa..

miss taking breakfast in the car and being driven around.. now, its like breakfast in the Audi.. (not the car.. ) driving to uni myself, being bullied on the road.. going through the same jam day in day out.. speaking of which.. anybody wanna be my driver?? :P

miss those days when all my cousins used to gather at ah ma's house.. and play our family game called "hantu kala".. now its like all gone off to uni, some working.. (hey cuzzies.. must play one last game before we get too old and wrinkley).. miss going around looking for chicken eggs.. watching cousins climb trees.. remember the swims old Dals went in our private pond.. haha.. (our lil secret eh *winks*)..

in short, miss the good old days when things are less complicated.. miss you all.. i guess when we get older we get more sentimental..

we went to Yuen steamboat.. hehe.. lots of recommendation from friends so we decided to try it out.. we tried to be smart by leaving the house early to avoid the crowd.. but guess what?? it was already crowded by 7.. imagine, 2 floors about 50 tables.. still got people waiting outside..

this pic was taken secretly.. hehe.. cos scared kena marah by some grumpy customers.. :P

after we got a table, we went to check out the food.. and ate dessert before the meal.. haha.. there's a wide selection of practically everything you can dump in to the soup.. then my bro went to get some fried chicken.. this place is famous for their fried chicken.. so naturally, there was a long que.. adrian told me that the customers will rush for the chicken.. and i thought.. how bad can it be?? well, it was bad.. people were so barbaric.. they rush and they push.. some even went to the extend of scooping a pile of chicken with their plate and not use the thongs provided.. imagine that.. and when my mum went to take someone even took a couple of pieces of her plate.. terrible Malaysian attitute.. haha.. mum was shaking.. :P

other than the chicken ordeal, the dinner was real nice.. lots of seafood and ice cream.. hehe.. to all who are planning to go.. please go after 9.. the crowd is more under control.. hehe..

we went to mid valley to watch pirates 2.. it was a great show but terrible ending.. they left the show half hanging and we were protesting!! haha.. then went to have lunch.. after much consideration, we went to Nando..

oh dear.. another one of angelene's victim.. Geoff.. and check out pei's new haircut..

needless to say, food and company was great!!.. li shan suddenly drags denise out saying she wanted to check something out.. then the lights went on and off like in a horror movie.. OOOooooOOO!! hehe.. and angelene began eating so slow until hwei wan started to time her.. imagine!!.. then the lights went off.. and denise and li shan started singing a happy birthday song.. and the whole shop joined in.. it was a good thing the lights were off though.. i'm sure i was blushing.. hehe..

leaving in style.. from top: Geoffrey, hwei wan, pei..

then we went to IMU to collect out results.. anyways, thats a whole different story.. thanks again guys.. see ya!!

Denise's birthday!!

i know i know.. it was ages ago.. sorry girl..

we celebrated it during study break.. just before an MMS sesion.. here are some pics..

first lighting.. hehe..

Geoff lighting it the second time..

as it was a surprise, we had no idea when denise was going to show up.. lol.. so we lighted it prematurely.. then we waited.. and the candles kept on melting so we panicked and blew it off before it got too short.. but just after the last candle went off, angelene called to say denise is already on the way.. crap.. so we faster light it again.. haha..

it says "we love you Denise!!"
